Chance for Free Financial Advising

Chance for Free Financial Advising

Well, at my day job it is nearing the end of the year as I work for the Federal government. With that said it means rushing around to finish up before September 30th and getting ready to gear up for October 1st to start the whole process over again. So, as we wind down the year at work, I am looking to ramp up my personal side job in financial planning. That does not mean I do not dedicate less time to my financial advising clients because I take great care to make sure that their needs are always met. With the aid of computers and iPads, it is easier to do both with great success. That and limit orders make it even more possible.

As I just passed the Series 65 examination about a month ago and have gotten all my paperwork approved by the State of Tennessee I am ready to take on clients to advise and perform asset management. But as everyone starts somewhere, I am in the process of tooling my methods and means of achieving a comprehensive financial plan and managing assets. While this is no easy task, I have finally gotten to the point where I am ready to proceed with taking on clients.

In order to do this, I have asked two family members and one trusted friend to fill out a series of questionnaires to aid me in developing my system going forward. And in these three instances, I am also offering a year’s worth of asset management at no cost as a thank you for essentially being my test subjects. But in order to get a better feel for my process and everything all of this involves I am seeking one or two additional individuals or families to participate in my test.

What I am offering is a comprehensive financial plan

What I am offering is a comprehensive financial plan and analysis of your unique situation. And in addition to that, I will manage your assets free of my fees for one year if you would like to participate in that portion of my services as well. I have developed a series of portfolios that can be further tailored to fit anyone’s needs depending on goals and risk tolerance. Some are based on the Modern Portfolio techniques using exchange-traded funds, and I also have one based on a highly successful hedge fund model that also utilizes exchange-traded funds to achieve the maximum diversification at a minimal cost. That is not to say I do not recommend the ownership of individual equities because there is always a place for those in someone’s portfolio provided it fits their investment plans. But I would only recommend individual equities if the price is right and there is a sufficient margin of error to protect one’s capital and maximize potential gains.

So, before you rush in to be a test subject in all of this, let me explain what makes me qualified to perform these duties for you and why you can trust me. As far as my education I have three relevant advanced degrees that all complement one another. My undergraduate degree is a Bachelor’s of Science in Business Administration from Haskell Indian Nations University in Lawrence, Kansas. After I completed that degree, I attended Strayer University out of Washington, D.C. and obtained a Master’s of Science in Accounting and an MBA. And finally, I obtained a Master’s of Science in Financial Planning from Bentley University in Waltham, Massachusetts. Based on my personal experience and my formal education I have also published several books on financial matters. I have also taught myself a lot from my own readings on financial matters and personal finance in general. One can never stop learning or striving to better themselves.

About that day job with the Federal government

About that day job with the Federal government, it has also aided me in bettering myself with regards to financial matters. When I first graduated college, I went to work for a Federal agency as a bank examiner, and that is what really got me interested in personal finance. After all, who could work with all those numbers dealing in financial matters and not get bitten by the financial bug? Then after doing that for three and a half years, I got a job with another agency working in contracts, staying true to my financial curiosity you could say. These jobs have allowed me to stay active in the financial markets while furthering my education with three advanced degrees. I am paying for them by working for the Federal government in the loan forgiveness program that is offered to individuals who work for Federal, State, local, and Tribal governments in addition to many non-profit organizations. When you consider that and the other benefits one gets from Federal service it makes sense to keep the day job for about ten more years before I retire at a young age with full benefits. After all, the day job allows me the opportunity for a successful side job in advising and asset management.

I take everything I do seriously and devote 100% of myself to whatever task I am confronted with. I take pride in everything I do without exception. I am detailed oriented, especially with numbers and finance details. After all, who would want to do advising and asset management if they did not like to read and analyze the numbers behind things.

Now that I have explained what it is I am trying to do, and why I am qualified to do it, I leave the rest up to you. For the one or two individuals or families that can explain to me the best how I can help them or how they would benefit from my services, I will do my best to help them achieve their financial goals and hopefully freedom. So, if you are interested, please send me an email detailing how you would benefit from my services and what you would expect in return for being a test subject at kirk@kgmeyerinc.com.

If you have any questions or comments, I always welcome them either here on the site or in an email. Thank you, and I look forward to hearing from you soon.
