Do you understand the basic concepts of money and banking? If you are like so many people in American society and to a large degree, the world in general, the answer is most likely not. I know I have learned a vast amount about personal finance and money in general terms from my education but mainly from my self-study on the subjects. I mean education is designed to teach us and prepare us for life but in reality it does a poor job at actually doing that. The theory is great but practical knowledge is even better.
Over the next few weeks, I plan on writing a book on money and banking that I am hoping will address some of the basics on both subjects. Let us face it, money and banking go hand in hand. So what better than write a book that addresses both in such a manner that anyone can benefit. I had to read countless books to get a solid understanding of both topics, and I will be honest here, banking is something that I still do not know a whole lot about. But I am hoping that with this project I will not only gain a better understanding of banking but also the ability to share what I learn.
And in conjunction with this book project, I also plan on developing a video series that will go hand in hand with the book. I will be offering this series on Udemy with coupon discounts for my readers and those who are signed up for my email newsletters. The video lessons will have a slightly different take than the book, but they will follow one another for the most part. I know if you learn as I do hearing and reading the material aids in remembering what it is I am learning.
I am hoping that this will be a success and lead to the creation of more books that are centered on specific topics that will also have an Udemy course to reinforce the material. My sister is an outstanding teacher at a small university in Kansas where I did my undergraduate degree. I am hoping some of her talents have rubbed off on me and will enable me to present the best course possible on these subjects.
When I get closer to releasing the book and video course, I will write more details about each. And I am sure I will offer both at discounts or free trial versions for honest feedback on one or both.
