It has been a while since I last posted something and for that, I apologize. It has been a hectic fall and start of the winter for me, and I neglected to post. But with the new year and ultimately the new administration I plan on posting more in the new year as well. As many of you know, the markets do not like the unknown and unfortunately no matter what side of the fence you sat on during the Presidential election that is exactly what we face now. The unknown when it comes to economic policies and the markets in general.
In the past, I have mainly written on topics that look at ways to save for retirement, approach investing, and similar such topics. But this year I am going to try and expand into the nature of the markets and what may or may not be affecting them. This approach will allow me to share investing and retirement advice as well as what the markets are doing. While talking about the markets is not my specialty I will never the less take on this challenge to better educate you and myself in the process.
I also will do a better job at emailing at least monthly special reports on topics that will not be posted to my website. These will be somewhat longer posts than I place here and will go more in depth into topics dealing with personal finance. So how do you get these special articles? It is simple, sign up for my email newsletters and receive as a thank you two free valuable spreadsheets. One will help you budget your household and the second will use the “snowball” method to help get you out of debt. Both are valuable in keeping n top of your finances and will aid you tremendously in keeping things in order.
As always, and most importantly, I want to hear from you, my readers. I would love to know topics you are interested in or want to know more about. Because without you, I will write about the typical topics and I want to tailor my posts to your needs to the best extent possible. And from time to time I will also run contests for the best topic through my email newsletter where the person who offers the best topic for me to write a special newsletter article on will win an Amazon gift card or one of my books.
And speaking of books, I plan on releasing a few new ones in the new year as well. I am working on a video course that explains the basics of the markets which I will also turn into a book. I hope to have two or three of these such video course available this year with accompanying books. The courses will be made available on Udemy. The books will be made available on Amazon.com and should be in electronic format as well as in print depending on their length. This way I can better explain some of the more complex topics in both videos and in print. And for this on my email newsletter list, I will offer the video courses at a deep discount or even for free for a certain time period.
So I invite you to come along with me and everyone else in the new year’s journey we will be taking. 2016 treated us well and here is to hoping that 2017 does as well if not better!
